About Us

Commissioners and Senior Management

I am very pleased to welcome you to The Niagara Parks Commission (NPC) website.  We have been presenting the Falls and its surrounding parklands for the enjoyment of visitors from around the world, at no cost to tax payers, since 1885.

Our Board of Commissioners is composed of twelve individuals who are responsible for making policy decisions, providing guidance to staff and reporting to the provincial government. Archie Katzman, a businessman from St. Catharines, is NPC’s Vice Chairman who has served for over 35 years. The other Provincial appointees include representatives from the Regional Niagara Council, the Town of Fort Erie, the City of Niagara Falls, and the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. The members of the Commission are responsible and accountable to the Government of Ontario, the sole shareholder of the Commission.

The Niagara Parks Commission’s senior staff are:

  • John Kernahan, General Manager
  • Robert McIlveen, Executive Director of Corporate Services
  • Nick Murphy, Executive Director of Engineering
  • Joel Noden, Executive Director of Revenue Operations, Marketing & Business Development
  • Deborah L. Whitehouse, Executive Director of Parks & Heritage
  • Brian Moore, Director of Golf Services
  • Scott Whitwell, Director of Engineering
  • Dave Morris, Director of Human Resources

Thank you for visiting our website to plan your next vacation to Niagara Falls.
