‘Bug-a-licious’ Food Festival extended for Family Day
Niagara Falls, Ontario – If you’re looking for a solution to keep your kids entertained for Ontario’s first Family Day (or President’s Day in the U.S.), bring them out to the Niagara Parks Butterfly Conservatory for the third annual International ‘Bug-a-licious’ Insect Food Festival, February 16 - 18, 2008 from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Chef Jeff Stewart will be conducting cooking demonstrations with insects as part of a bug tasting menu he has created that was inspired by edible insects from around the world.
Tempt your taste buds with a variety of insects prepared right before your eyes and explore how to use insects from your own backyard as a tasty side dish or dessert. Learn how different cultures from around the world use insects for food and try some delectable insect samples.
All prices include admission to the Butterfly Conservatory: $11.00 for Adults 13+, $6.50 for Children 6 - 12 years and Children 5 and under are FREE (prices in Cdn plus tax). Located at 2405 Niagara River Parkway on the grounds of the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens. Free Parking. Open daily 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with last visitors admitted at 4:30 p.m.
