For millennia man has been fascinated by the overwhelming power of the Falls. Since 1958, Sir Adam Beck 2 Generating Station has captured that potential energy in one of Ontario's largest hydroelectric facilities. It's a wonderful example of a natural, non-polluting and reliable power source that has worked in harmony with the beauty of Niagara for over 4 decades.
Location: Sir Adam Beck No. 2 is located at 14000 Niagara Parkway near the Queenston-Lewiston bridge. Limited parking is available on site. Visitors must get a free parking pass from the gift shop. Overflow parking is available at the Floral Clock. Purses, Bags and Backpacks are not permitted on the tour.
To park at Sir Adam Beck, visitors are given a pass to display on their dashboard. If your vehicle displays an Accessible Parking Permit, you can park in the designated parking spaces without getting a pass. The walkway into the building is accessible with a depressed barrier curb. A Niagara Parks employee is stationed near the entrance door to provide assistance if necessary. Purses, bags and backpacks are not permitted on the tour and can be stored for free in lockers with keys that are provided. The plant tour is fully accessible, accessed by an elevator, and an interpretive guide accompanies you at all times.
