Come out and Celebrate Cultures with Niagara Parks!

The Niagara Parks Commission’s newest festival, Celebrate Cultures, is an international festival showcasing the tastes, sounds and experiences of countries from around the globe. This year, NPC is proud to showcase the nations of Argentina, Japan and China during the weeks of September 3rd to September 21st. These three nations have been chosen for the inaugural festival due to the fact that: Niagara Parks became involved in a Strategic Partnership Alliance with tourism representatives of Puerto Iguazú, Argentina in 2007. A similar agreement was reached with representatives from the Great Wall China in 2006, and this year marks the 80th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Canada.

A variety of entertainment for Japan Week is planned, ranging from stilt walkers to a traditional Taiko ensemble and Martial Arts Show. Musicians who will be located throughout the park each day and perform at our three main venues: Maid of the Mist Marketplace, Queen Victoria Place and Table Rock. Niagara Parks will also feature special menus at our Edgewaters Tap & Grill and Elements on the Falls.
