Niagara Falls, ON – The Niagara Parks Commission (NPC) is pleased to announce an exciting lineup of events for the upcoming Canada Day long weekend.
Free Concerts & Falls Fireworks
On Friday, Sunday and holiday Monday, free concerts will take place at 8 p.m. on the Illumination Tower Stage in Queen Victoria Park, followed by Falls Fireworks at 10 p.m. Concert goers will have a prime view of the fireworks displays, making for the perfect family outing.

Enjoy live entertainment all weekend at the Maid of the Mist Marketplace from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. (10 p.m. on fireworks nights).
Queenston Heights Sunday Afternoon Concerts
Niagara Falls Concert Band to perform on Sunday, July 3 from 2 – 4 p.m.
The Queenston Sunday Afternoon Concert Series is held in the band shell at Queenston Heights Park. Be sure to bring your blankets and lawn chairs for a great afternoon!
RCMP Officer Meet and Greet at Table Rock
Friday, July 1 - Sunday, July 3 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Canada is known for many things but nothing is more notable than the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Come to Table Rock Centre, located at the brink of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls during the summer on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to meet a RCMP officer for photos and to answer questions. Don’t forget to bring your camera!

Discounts for Canadian Veterans and Military Personnel
Friday, July 1 to Sunday, July 3
In commemoration of the sacrifice and contributions made by Canada’s veterans and current military personnel, NPC will provide special discounts over the Canada Day weekend as a way of saying thank you to those who have served this country. From Friday, July 1 to Sunday, July 3, NPC will offer to Canadian veterans and current military personnel free parking, as well as a 15% discount on its attractions, retail shopping purchases and dining (excluding alcohol). Proper veteran and military identification will be required.

Fort Erie Friendship Festival

ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE: During the Friendship Festival from June 29 - July 3, 2011, there will be a road closure along the Niagara Parkway from Queen Street to Central Avenue. Detour signs will are located throughout the town of Fort Erie to assist drivers in re-entering the Niagara Parkway.
Battle of Chippawa Memorial Ceremony
Tuesday, July 5 at 7 p.m.
NPC and the Chippawa Branch 396 of the Royal Canadian Legion will honour those who served on the Chippawa Battlefield on July 5, 1814. All are welcome to attend.
The Niagara Parks Commission is an Agency of the Government of Ontario. It is NPC’s mission to protect the natural and cultural heritage along the Niagara River for the enjoyment of visitors while remaining financially self-sufficient.
