Niagara Parks Harvest Fest Weekend Events
Niagara Falls, ON – The Niagara Parks Commission (NPC) is pleased to announce a new Fall event lineup as part of Harvest Fest. This new festival was developed to showcase the bounty of Niagara’s best produce and vintages, the vibrant colour change and the culture of the First Nations People.
First Nations Events
October 1 & 2 - from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Daily
First Nations Artisans
First Nations artisans and crafters will be in the Park displaying their talents and wares during the first annual Harvest Celebration. Vendors will be located in Power Park adjacent to Table Rock with easy access to parking at the Falls Parking Lot.
October 1 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
First Nations Culinary Samplings
Join us on October 1 to meet Chef Janace Henry of the Ongwehonwe Haudenosaunee People for a free sampling of an authentic “Three Sisters Soup” in the Grand Hall outside of Elements on the Falls. Chef Janace Henry has collaborated with Niagara Parks Executive Chef Paul Pennock C.C.C. to create a traditional First Nations menu that will be showcased at Elements on the Falls Restaurant throughout the month of October.

First Nations Harvest
A variety of entertainers including song, dance and storytellers will be throughout the Park on three stages: The Illumination Tower Stage, Maid of the Mist Marketplace Stage and the Main Stage in the Power Park adjacent to Table Rock.

First Nations Fall Exhibit
Learn what harvest means to the First Nations people in Niagara. A special exhibit is on display in the Table Rock Welcome Centre (lower level). The exhibit is open daily during regular operating hours and is FREE to all.

Annual Reiger Begonia display at the Floral Showhouse
This fall show consists of a mix of fall colours including orange, yellow, pink and white. The Reigers varieties produced have a double bloom and are approximately 1.5 inches in diameter. The Reigers will be combined with a fabulous display of coleus, tropical foliage plants and a mix of bright fall colours. Open daily from 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Bouldering For Niagara Glen
Niagara Parks is pleased to announce a new Bouldering Program in support of the preservation and conservation of the Niagara Glen. Come out to the Niagara Glen Nature Centre for more information and to obtain your permit.

Fall Gardening Series at the School of Horticulture
Groundcover Options
Join Instructor Lorne Fast of the Niagara Parks School of Horticulture as he highlights great turf alternatives to create some low maintenance areas in your yard. Learn about great plant alternatives you source to keep the weeds down, minimize your mowing while looking great! $25 per person. To be re-scheduled in case of inclement weather.
October 2 from 1 - 3 p.m.
Fall Gardening Series at the School of Horticulture
Plants for Winter Interest
Fall is an excellent time to review our garden spaces and identify plants that exhibit interesting characteristics in fall and all winter. During this seminar/walking tour of the Botanical Gardens, Instructor Darrell Bley will introduce several of these plants and their required maintenance. $25 per person. To be re-scheduled in case of inclement weather.

Fall Harvest Displays
Niagara Parks’ talented staff has combined their efforts to once again rebeautify Table Rock and Queen Victoria Park for the Fall season for the enjoyment of all visitors. Don’t miss these spectacular displays exhibiting some of the season’s best highlights.

Canada's longest running fireworks Series continues on Friday nights until October 28 at
9 p.m. NOTE: All shows are dependent upon wind conditions.

Majestic Monarchs at the Niagara Parks Butterfly Conservatory
Celebrate the amazing two-way migration of the Monarch Butterfly from Canada to Mexico. Each day, visitors can learn about the Monarch’s lifecycle and conservation efforts being taken here in Niagara. This event is great for families with young children, who will have the option to make their own Monarch themed crafts to take home. Candy Monarch Butterflies will be available for $1, with all proceeds directly supporting the Monarch program. Regular admission applies.
