Niagara Parks Honours Canadian Veterans
and Military Personnel for Canada Day

Niagara Falls, ON – In commemoration of the sacrifice and contributions made by Canada’s veterans and current military personnel, The Niagara Parks Commission (NPC) will provide special discounts over the Canada Day weekend as a way of saying thank you to those who have served this country.

From Friday, July 1 to Sunday, July 3, NPC will offer to Canadian veterans and current military personnel free parking, as well as a 15% discount on its attractions, retail shopping purchases and dining (excluding alcohol). Proper veteran and military identification will be required.

According to The Niagara Parks Commission Chair Fay Booker, “Canada Day represents a key date when we should collectively take a step back and recognize the dedication and sacrifices made by our men and women in the armed services. Without their efforts, we would not be able to celebrate Canada Day and enjoy the freedoms this nation is able to provide; and for that we thank them.”

Created in 1885, The Niagara Parks Commission is an Agency of the Government of Ontario. It is NPC’s mission to protect the natural and cultural heritage along the Niagara River for the enjoyment of visitors while remaining financially self-sufficient.
