Swing in the New Year at Whirlpool Golf Course
Niagara Parks to host Open House on New Year’s Day
NIAGARA FALLS, ON – The Niagara Parks Commission (NPC) invites families to come out to an open house at the Whirlpool Public Golf Course on New Year’s Day from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Bring your golf clubs and swing off the cobwebs! Two holes will also be open to challenge the golfer in you. The Niagara Whirlpool and Gorge provide a stunning backdrop for this unique way to shrug off the Canadian winter and start the New Year. Niagara Parks’ award-winning chili, hot chocolate and other treats will also be available in the clubhouse.
“There is no need to escape Niagara to get in some good golf and family cheer over the holidays,” says Janice Thomson, Chair of The Niagara Parks Commission. “We welcome you to accept the challenge of golfing in winter by tackling two of the challenging holes of our original golf course, which just turned 60 this past summer.”
The Niagara Parks Commission is an Agency of the Government of Ontario. It is the NPC’s mission to protect the natural and cultural heritage along the Niagara River for the enjoyment of visitors while remaining financially self-sufficient.
