As part of the Museum Meet-Ups, a Museums of Niagara Association Summer Series, Old Fort Erie is hosting an axe-throwing inside the Fort! Presented by Backyard Axe Throwing League (BATL). Experience a free-throw style axe throwing event within the historic walls of Old Fort Erie. Including period games, and free period cookies!

Axe Throwing at Old Fort Erie

July 23, 2019 • 6PM – 9PM • $40 per person

Whether you’re a seasoned axe thrower or you’re new to the sport of axe throwing, this exciting event at Old Fort Erie is your chance to enjoy a variety of games, delicious food, and thirst-quenching beverages.

As part of ‘Museum Meet-ups’, spend an evening at Old Fort Erie to experience something fun and completely different! The Backyard Axe Throwing League (BATL) is set to transform the walls inside this National Historic Site just so you can feel the thrill of thrusting an axe.

Expert coaches are on-site to help people of all skill levels. Explore the grounds with British, First Nations, and American soldiers as you learn about Niagara’s vital role during the War of 1812. In addition, the fort will be open for axe-throwers.

Parking at Old Fort Erie is free for this outdoor, licensed event. Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather. Please note that participants must be at least 16-years-old to participate, and valid identification may be requested. This event is not included as part of the Old Fort Erie Season Pass.
