Discover the fascinating story behind Christmas cards and learn where the very first card originated with our Christmas card workshop at the historic Mackenzie Printery. Enjoy light refreshments while creating a dozen of your own Christmas cards using original printing presses. Tis the season for sending Christmas cheer with holiday cards!

Mackenzie Printery

Explore 500 years of printing technology inside the restored home of publisher, rebellion leader and Toronto’s first mayor, William Lyon Mackenzie. Located in the quaint village of Queenston, the Mackenzie Printery houses Canada’s oldest printing press and one of only seven original wooden presses remaining in the world. Get hands-on experience with a working linotype and learn how to hand-set movable type at this Niagara Parks heritage site.
