Garden at Home Virtual Gardening Series

Join Niagara Parks horticulturalists for this educational gardening series aimed at helping you become a gardening pro right at home! Explore the art and science of horticulture with insight into how Niagara Parks keeps its sprawling parkland pristine all year long. Whether you’re a new home gardener or have an experienced green thumb, these live-streamed interactive sessions will offer an opportunity to discover new tips that will help you keep your garden blooming beautifully year after year.

Tickets are $15 per session, or gain access to the entire series for $45. All sessions begin at 7:00 PM.

Meet Our Horticulturists

While it takes the work of many to keep Niagara Parks looking great year-round, you’ll meet two of our most prominent horticultural experts in this series.

Jessica Bond - Botanical Gardens Site Manager

Certified teacher and horticulturalist Jessica Bond is the site manger of Niagara Parks’ Botanical Gardens and Butterfly Conservatory. Jessica has devoted most of her career to the art of floristry, ornamental horticulture and public education. Prior to joining Niagara Parks, Jessica worked as a quality control specialist in the greenhouse industry, a florist and a special education teacher.

Charles Hunter - Director of Horticulture

Charles Hunter is Niagara Parks’ director of horticulture and a graduate of the Niagara Parks School of Horticulture. Previously, Charles held the roles of superintendent for the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens, School of Horticulture and Butterfly Conservatory. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for the American Public Gardens Association.

Always in Bloom

When it comes to year-round blooms at Niagara Parks, there's no better display than the Floral Showhouse, just a short walk south from Niagara Falls and Table Rock Centre. Collections of orchids, succulents, and other tropical plant species are on display throughout the year, along with floral shows that reflect the changing seasons. With several shows per year, something new is always in bloom.
