About the Pop-up Dinner Series

This exclusive series of exciting culinary events features flavours of the Niagara River Corridor, as prepared by our talented Niagara Parks Culinary team.

Set in unique locations up and down our extraordinary Niagara Parkway, your meal will also include fascinating speakers and illuminating stories, presented by our Niagara Parks Heritage team.

There’s no place like home

Niagara Parks is committed to sourcing its ingredients from right here at home. That’s why all five Niagara Parks restaurants are Feast On certified: a movement for restaurants who believe local food matters. Supporting Ontario’s hard-working growers, producers and craftspeople builds our local food identity, enhances the local community, and limits environmental impacts.

Niagara Parks chefs take this to heart, and the 2018 Pop-up Dinner Series celebrates local artisans like Brimstone Brewery in Fort Erie, Queen’s Pasta in Toronto, Slegers Greens in Strathroy, and many more.

At each Pop-up Dinner, our chefs and presenters will demonstrate why locally sourced food is such an important part of the Niagara Parks story. And it helps that it tastes better, too!

A river runs through us

Niagara Parks extends for 56 kilometres along the length of the Niagara River, from Lake Ontario to Lake Erie. For centuries, people from around the world have been drawn to the shores of the Niagara River to witness its grandeur firsthand.

Along that stretch, there’s no shortage of unique places to explore. Our Pop-up Dinner series is all about highlighting the natural surroundings, the culture and the history of these incredible locations, and demonstrating the abundance of culinary and artisanal talent in the region.

At each event, you’ll hear from local historians, craftspeople and, of course, Niagara Parks chefs, about these sites along the Niagara River, the local ingredients featured in our creations, and how we’re helping to shape the Niagara culinary story.

Pop-up Dinner at Old Fort Erie
May 31, 2018, 5:30 – 8 p.m.

Enjoy a taste of Niagara at one of our most iconic national historic sites at Niagara Parks, Old Fort Erie. Hear from historians about the War of 1812 and heritage stewardship, enjoy a wide range of locally sourced dishes created exclusively for this event, sample beverages from Brimstone Brewery, Ironwood, Pellar Estates and Jackson Triggs, and end the evening off with an incredible artillery demonstration by Niagara Parks Heritage interpreters.

Tickets are $85 per person for this all-inclusive event.

Pop-up Dinner at Legends on the Niagara
July 19, 2018, 5:30 – 8 p.m.

The Legends on the Niagara facility is Canada’s premier public golf destination. The grounds feature two championship courses, a par-3 executive course, 360° driving range on 45 acres, state-of-the-art training academy and spectacular clubhouse facilities. On July 19th our Niagara Parks culinary team will welcome guests to experience the natural beauty of the spectacular venue as they dine on locally sourced dishes and beverages at the second Pop-up Dinner of the 2018 season!

Tickets are $85 per person for this all-inclusive event.

Pop-up Dinner at Botanical Gardens
Sept 20, 2018, 5:30 – 8 p.m.

Established in 1936, the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens presents visitors with 99 acres (40 hectares) of beautifully maintained gardens that include perennials, rhododendrons, azaleas, a formal parterre garden, herb and vegetable plantings, and our world-famous rose garden featuring over 2,400 roses. Our Niagara Parks culinary team will be utilizing these remarkable grounds to serve locally sourced dishes and beverages to guests at the final Pop-up Dinner of the year.
