Niagara Parks Sales Managers Sue Zareski and Amy Edmonds are now certified by the 14 Stories Gay Wedding Institute as Niagara’s new local LGBT wedding experts.
“Sue and Amy showed true commitment to understanding the ways wedding professionals need to be sensitive to the unique needs of same-sex couples. They took the time to complete course work to ready Niagara Parks to truly be equipped to meet this emerging market,” says Bernadette Coveney Smith, founder and president of the Gay Wedding Institute.
This certification course focuses on the nuances and details relevant to gay wedding ceremonies and receptions, covering language, terminology, laws and policies, same-sex wedding trends and traditions, wardrobe, invitations and marketing.
Sue has been helping happy couples plan their dream wedding at Niagara Parks for six years and, aside from completing her most recent Gay Wedding Institute certification, is also recognized by the Wedding Planner Institute of Canada. Focusing primarily on receptions, she knows all Niagara Parks venues inside and out and can answer absolutely any questions you may have.
“I love the fact that all of our reception venues can be customized to the couples’ personality,” says Sue. “Whether it’s a plated meal, buffet, food station or just an evening reception with stand-up and sit-down tables, Niagara Parks has something for everyone.”
Amy Edmonds has helped plan beautiful Niagara Parks wedding ceremonies for almost three years. Previously, she loved working on-site during weddings at Legends on the Niagara as part of her duties as food and beverage supervisor, and working full-time planning weddings was a perfect move. Amy is also certified with the Wedding Planner Institute of Canada.
“I love helping couples create their special day, and I’m always interested in hearing engagement stories,” says Amy.
