The Best Spots for Easter Brunch

On a summer Sunday in Niagara Parks, you’re bound to encounter groups of friends and families at Queenston Heights Restaurant, catching up over fluffy made-to-order omelettes, crispy bacon, and stacks of warm Belgian waffles. Their chatter echoes through the restaurant’s airy dining room which overlooks the winding Niagara River and the rolling vineyards of St. David’s and Niagara-on-the-Lake. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a hearty, locally-sourced brunch while you recharge before the week ahead.

For well over a century, the north end of Niagara Parks has been a popular weekend destination for local and out-of-town visitors. In the late 1800s, Toronto picnickers routinely sailed down the Niagara River aboard passenger steam ships to spend a leisurely Sunday afternoon in the village of Queenston. In 1900, a restaurant and refreshment stand was built within the park in order to accommodate the influx of these weekend visitors.

During the summer season, brunch is served at Queenston Heights Restaurant on Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and features a variety of items that highlight our commitment to sourcing locally. All five restaurants operated by Niagara Parks Culinary are proudly Feast On certified by the Culinary Tourism Alliance, meaning that we source Ontario grown and made food and beverage for each of our establishments wherever possible. Culinary tourism is an important aspect of the tourism experience and helps tell the story of a destination’s landscapes, local history and cultural heritage on one plate. Whether it’s the tomatoes and herbs from Queenston Heights’ kitchen garden that are used in our salads, or the fresh cherries sourced from nearby Jordan that are incorporated into our desserts, each local ingredient works to tell the broader Niagara Parks story.

If you can’t wait until the summer season arrives, join us for a special Easter Sunday Brunch at four of our full-service restaurants. Brunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m on Sunday, April 1 at Queenston Heights Restaurant, Elements on the Falls, Whirlpool Restaurant and Legends on the Niagara Restaurant. Reservations are highly recommended.
