Survival of the Slowest Exhibit at the Butterfly Conservatory
February 15 to May 31
Explore how some of the world’s most overlooked animal species have evolved to use their disadvantages to help them survive in this special exhibit on display at the Butterfly Conservatory starting Family Day weekend! Meet a Two-Toed Sloth, Veiled Chameleon, Pixie Frog, Red-Footed Tortoise, Green Iguana and more intriguing species. Entry is included with regular admission to the Butterfly Conservatory or as part of the Niagara Falls Wonder Pass.


Birding Open House at the Niagara Glen Nature Centre
February 15
Join us at the Niagara Glen Nature Centre this Family Day weekend for our first ever Birding Open House in partnership with the Canadian Raptor Conservancy and local field naturalist clubs. Learn about Niagara’s native bird species and get a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with a Red-Tailed Hawk, a Great Horned Owl and a Bald Eagle. Free admission.
Cyclamen Display at the Floral Showhouse

Treat your senses to an early glimpse of spring with a stroll through our Cyclamen Show at the Floral Showhouse. Enjoy the peaceful sounds of trickling waterfalls and the delightful fragrances of stunning cyclamen arrangements accented by kalanchoes, azaleas, orchids and much more. Warm temperatures and lush florals await within the glass walls of the Floral Showhouse.


Snowshoeing & Hiking at the Great Canadian Winter Lodge
Weekends until March 29
Experience winter at its best with the Great Canadian Winter Lodge at Whirlpool Golf Course until March 29. Open on weekends, reconnect with nature while snowshoeing or hiking, relax with a peaceful yoga session and nourish yourself with a delicious brunch while you take in the breathtaking winter views. Day trail passes and equipment rentals are available.
Discover a Winter Wonderland at Niagara Parks
Bundle up and explore Niagara Parks on foot! Travel to the north end of Niagara Parks and explore the Niagara River Recreational Trail or stop to see the swirling Niagara Whirlpool from the lookout at Thompson Point. Visit Queen Victoria Park for a stroll along the parapet wall for spectacular views at the brink of the falls.
