Plan your wedding day at Niagara Parks for reception and ceremony venues like no place else on Earth! Here are some answers to frequently asked questions about our services and locations. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any other questions.
Are the ceremony sites closed to the public?
The site is still open to the public; however, when people see a wedding they usually watch from afar and respect your privacy.
Is there free parking at all of the ceremony sites?
All have free parking with the exception of Oakes Garden Theatre, Floral Showhouse, Rambler's Rest, the Rose Garden, Butterfly Conservatory, and Botanical Gardens.
Can we drive on the fire lane at the Botanical Gardens to transport people closer to the site?
You may drive on the fire lane to drop off some guests. We do require a record of the license plate number and make of the vehicle. No vehicles are to be parked on the fire lane.
What happens in the event of inclement weather?
You should always have a back-up plan in place. The Queenston Chapel is an option to book as a back-up to an outdoor site. The fee is $600.00 plus HST and is non-refundable. Tenting is another option, and sometimes your officiate may have a back-up plan for you as well.
If we are renting a tent and chairs, do we get more time for set-up and take down?
The two or three-hour time period allows for setting up a tent, chairs, etc. Tent and chair rental companies are very familiar with our grounds and time allowances. You must have approval from The Niagara Parks Commission to put up a tent, so include that in your permit request.
Are candles allowed?
Enclosed candles only are permitted.
