Niagara Parks Invests $1.8 Million for South Niagara Parkway Resurfacing

Niagara Falls, ON – Niagara Parks, as part of its capital plan, will be investing $1.8 million toward a significant paving project along the South Niagara Parkway, scheduled to take place beginning on Monday, July 31, through to August 25, 2023. Starting Monday, July 31, the first section of paving work will take place from Service Road 8 to Service Road 6 along the Niagara Parkway. Work will be paused during the civic long weekend (August 4-7) and will resume the following week in the area of Ives Gateway to Service Road 18. The second section is expected to be completed by Friday, August 25. The road will remain open during construction with traffic control operators managing the flow of vehicular traffic. Niagara Parks will be working with contractor Rankin Construction to complete the work that will resurface a total of ten kilometres of the South Niagara Parkway. Once completed, the project will enhance the conditions along this important stretch of the Niagara Parkway, providing an improved experience for local residents and visitors to the area.
