Journey Behind the Falls
To stand at the heart of Niagara, you’ll first need to descend 125 feet and explore 130-year-old tunnels through the bedrock, but you’ll feel the thunderous vibration of the Horseshoe Falls long before you see them. The observation deck at the foot of this 13-storey-tall wonder will leave you breathless (and maybe a little bit wet), but don’t forget the viewing portals cut straight through the rock, offering a once-in-a-lifetime view of one-fifth of the world’s fresh water crashing down in front of you.

Learn MoreLower Observation Deck
Up to 2,800 cubic metres of water thunders over the brink of the Horseshoe Falls every second, traveling 65 kilometres per hour. That might sound like a lot, but to really feel it you’ll need to don your iconic yellow poncho, stand on the Lower Observation Deck and look up, way up! Just try to remember to take a breath every now and then

Explore the Storied Tunnels
After journeying deep into the bedrock, navigate fascinating tunnels that lead behind the Horseshoe Falls. You’ll find incredible cave-like portals that open behind the falling water, where you’ll see, hear and feel the power of the falls up close.
Take Home a Classic
Some of the original visitors to this attraction wore heavy rubber boots and rain coats before making their way through what was then called the “Scenic Tunnels”. Today, Niagara Parks recycles all ponchos returned or discarded at our attractions, but you’ll probably want to take it home as a keepsake anyway.
