Temporary Closures Planned within Queen Victoria Park

• The Niagara Parkway will be closed from Murray Street to Rapidsview Parking Lot on Monday, January 13 and Wednesday, January 15, 2025, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
• Closures extend to surrounding parklands and pedestrian access will be restricted from Table Rock Centre to Rapidsview Parking Lot as of 3:00 p.m.
• All of Table Rock Centre, the Niagara Parks Power Station, the Floral Showhouse and associated parking lots will close at 3:00 p.m.
• The temporary closure is required to facilitate filming and short-burst fireworks testing for Niagara Parks’ new Flying Theatre attraction, set to open later this year

Niagara Falls, ON – Niagara Parks will temporarily close a section of Queen Victoria Park to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic on Monday, January 13, and Wednesday, January 15, 2025, to facilitate filming for its upcoming Flying Theatre attraction, set to open this summer. The filming will include brief fireworks testing from various locations lasting approximately 30 seconds.

To ensure public safety in the area, the Niagara Parkway will be closed from Murray Street to the Rapidsview Parking Lot, including the surrounding parklands, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on both days. Detours will be available via Stanley Avenue and Portage Road. The north section of Queen Victoria Park, from Murray Street to Clifton Hill, will remain open.

During the closure, pedestrians will not be permitted to walk in the park space from Table Rock Centre to the Rapidsview Parking Lot, including at the brink of the Falls. Pedestrian access will resume north of Table Rock Centre.

Niagara Parks Operations
All operations at Table Rock Centre, the Niagara Parks Power Station and the Floral Showhouse will be closed as of 3:00 p.m. on both days; however, Table Rock House Restaurant will be fully closed both days. For the most up-to-date information, visit niagaraparks.com/hours.

Parking and Transportation
The Falls Parking Lot (Lot A) and the Floral Showhouse Parking Lot (Lot B) will also close at 3:00 p.m. on both days. Signage will be in place and Niagara Parks staff ambassadors will advise guests as they arrive. Vehicles remaining in either parking lot after the closure will not be permitted to leave until 9:00 p.m. when filming is complete.

Additionally, Niagara Parks will be closing access to guest parking at Queen Victoria Place and Dufferin Islands beginning in the morning on both January 13 and 15.
The Falls Incline Railway will not be available during the closure. On January 13, the Falls Incline Railway will operate on an adjusted schedule. On January 15, the Incline Railway will close to accommodate routine maintenance with shuttles offered for guests until 2:00 p.m. The WEGO Bus Service will also operate on an adjusted schedule and route to avoid the area.
