Fireworks Illuminations and Concert Series

2013 marks the 20th anniversary of Canada’s longest running fireworks series! Start off the night with a free concert, sponsored by Coca-Cola! Concert featuring Slip Agent Five preforming at Queen Victoria Park Stage. Slip Agent Five is a classic Rock N’ Roll band from Niagara Falls ON started in 2005, set out to bring back tasty vintage rock riffs to the ears of today’s music listeners. Inspired by rock greats such as April Wine, Journey, The Who, Tragically Hip and the Foo Fighters, Slip Agent Five’s music is centered around bluesy vocals, riff-oriented rock guitar, and driving bass and drum rhythms. Their music is literally a jukebox of 70’s, 80’s, 90’s to today’s top hits.
Commemoration of the 1813 Laura Secord Walk

Geology of the Niagara Glen - $7.57

Journey back in time, over 530 million years, as you explore the geological history of the Niagara Glen and Niagara River. You will explore and study the various geological features that contribute to this unique environment. This walking tour starting from the Niagara Glen Nature Centre will take you deep into the Niagara Glen and will require proper footwear.

(18:12) is a fact-filled light-hearted look at the War of 1812 told in 18 minutes and 12 seconds. Produced out of Nova Scotia, by the KA’NATA Foundation and KA’NATA Productions Inc, 18:12 is about making history interesting and fun. Using multi-media technology, rhythms, props, colourful costumes, songs and hilarious sketches, 18:12 brings to life this seminal moment in Canadian history – which resulted in Canada’s nationhood and subsequent 200 years of peace. The four-person bilingual, multi-disciplined cast from across the country, performs in a purpose-built state of the art travelling stage venue which sets up easily in populated areas such as festivals, events, and public event spaces. The show is supported by Canadian Heritage and Parks Canada.
