This guided walking tour leads you from the base of Clifton Hill to the historic Journey Behind the Falls, connecting the region’s geology, stories and most breathtaking viewpoints together. It’s an ideal introduction for first-time visitors or anyone short on time.
It includes express entry to Journey Behind the Falls, where you’ll descend 125 feet through ancient bedrock and stand as close as it gets to the thundering Horseshoe Falls!
Signature Falls Walking Tour
Duration: 3 hours | Tour Times: 9:00am and 2:00pm

This immersive walking tour blends natural wonder with stories of human ingenuity. Over three hours, your Niagara Parks guide will lead you along the edge of the Niagara Gorge, highlighting ancient rock formations, cultural landmarks and the forces that shaped this world‑famous landscape.
This tour includes express entry to three world-famous attractions:
- Journey Behind the Falls – descend through ancient bedrock and feel the power of the Horseshoe Falls up close.
- Niagara Takes Flight – soar above the region in Ontario’s first flying theatre!
- Niagara Parks Power Station – finish with a self-guided tour of the thoughtfully restored power station and learn how the power of water electrified a nation.
All tour participants will receive:
- 24‑hour access to the WEGO Bus
- 24-hour access to the Falls Incline Railway
- Full day of parking at Rapidsview Parking Lot : please allow approx. 45 minutes of travel time to get from Rapidsview to Clifton Gate Welcome Centre
Before You Go
All walking tours depart from the Clifton Gate Welcome Centre (at the bottom of Clifton Hill across from Oakes Garden theatre). Please arrive 30 minutes early to check-in. Tours depart on time; late arrivals are not eligible for refund.
Good to Know
Tours operate rain or shine. Please dress for the weather. Raincoats and umbrellas are not provided and comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended. Children under 3 are free.
