In celebration of the opening of the revitalized Niagara Glen Nature Centre and as part of Niagara Parks’ Begin Here: Canada 150 commemorative events and activities, the Pop-up dinner will feature a diverse selection of tastes from across Niagara and the province, including a charcuterie station with Pingue prosciutto and Mountain Oak cheese, as well as stations featuring fresh Lake Erie Pickerel, Manitoulin Island Rainbow Trout, Ontario pork tenderloin, grilled Ontario lamb, locally sourced vegetable skewers and so much more.

The dinner menu will be accompanied by a selection of local wines and crafted ciders and beers, including samples from Reif Estates Wine, Ironwood Cider and Niagara College Brewing. Illuminating guest speakers will complete the evening, inviting guests to connect with the unique natural venue and experience the breathtaking beauty of the Niagara Glen and the Niagara River and gorge below.

The evening will conclude with preview tours of the enhanced Niagara Glen Nature Centre, including the new Nature Exchange, developed in partnership with sister provincial agency Science North. Originally built in 1923, the Nature Centre has a rich history and connection to Niagara Parks and the entire Niagara River Corridor. Responding to the growth in eco-tourism and demand for more natural, outdoor experiences, Niagara Parks was thrilled to invest in the revitalization of this truly unique and impressive space, with support from the Ontario150 funding program, to bring new programming, retail and engaging educational features to the Niagara Glen Nature Centre. The Grand re-opening of the Nature Centre will take place on Friday, July 21 at 1:30 p.m.
