At Journey Behind the Falls, guests descend 125 feet and embark on a journey through 130-year-old tunnels through the bedrock to reach a platform where they can stand just steps away from the mighty Horseshoe Falls, one of the country’s most recognizable sites.
Honour the spirit of Canadian innovation at the Niagara Parks Power Station, a century-old hydroelectric marvel and discover the groundbreaking role it played in shaping our nation’s energy landscape. Don’t miss Tesla: A Spark of Genius, a limited-time exhibit honouring the life and legacy of inventor Nikola Tesla or plan a nighttime visit to experience the impressive building in a whole new light with an expanded evening program, including an unforgettable vantage point to watch the nightly fireworks and Falls illumination from the Tunnel platform.
Whirlpool Aero Car offers stunning views of the swirling rapids high above the Niagara River. Fireworks and Illuminations, Eh!
Guests can wrap up their celebrations with an extended fireworks display at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. The show will be synchronized to music broadcast on Kiss 98.5 FM and amplified by Niagara Parks at key viewing locations, including Table Rock Centre, Queen Victoria Place and Grand View Marketplace.
Beginning at 8:30 p.m., Niagara Falls will also be illuminated in red and white at the top of every hour for 15 minutes in celebration of Canada Day.
Capture a Special Moment at the Friendship Arch
Guests can show their Canadian pride at the all-new Friendship Arch, located at Table Rock Centre. Designed in seven shades of blue to mirror the Falls and featuring a bold red maple leaf, the sculpture is a great spot to say ‘cheese curds’ and grab that Instagram-worthy Canada Day photo with friends and family.

Niagara Parks staff working on July 1 will be sporting custom-made, Canada Day T-shirts designed by Niagara Parks’ Marketing team and made in Canada. Guests can pick up their patriotic apparel at retail locations across Niagara Parks.

Holiday Road Closures
To support a safe and enjoyable Canada Day experience, temporary road closures will be in effect. On Monday, July 1, the Niagara Parkway will be closed to vehicles from Clifton Hill to Fraser Hill, starting at 7 p.m., with a full closure in place by 8 p.m. Additionally, Clifton Hill, between Victoria Avenue and Falls Avenue, will close starting at 7 p.m., with a complete closure by 8 p.m. The roads will be reopened to traffic by 1 a.m. or as crowds disperse following the fireworks. These measures will enhance pedestrian safety and reduce congestion in the vicinity of the Falls.
