The Niagara Parks Floral Showhouse continues to offer guests a peaceful retreat from the busyness of everyday life, reconnecting visitors with the beauty, inspiration, and tranquility found in plants and flowers.
In 2026, the Floral Showhouse proudly celebrates its 80th anniversary, and to mark this significant milestone, the horticultural team has drawn inspiration from the rich harvest splendour of the chrysanthemum. As one of Niagara Parks’ most beloved traditions, the Chrysanthemum Show is the Floral Showhouse’s longest-running exhibition, dating back to its inaugural presentation on November 4, 1946, the same day the Floral Showhouse first opened its doors.
This year’s exhibit embraces Niagara Parks’ annual theme, Elevate, showcasing stunning displays of exhibition and pot chrysanthemums in vibrant shades of pink, yellow, white, orange, bronze, and purple.
Among the highlights are the show’s spectacular specialty-trained chrysanthemums, including elegant spirals, dramatic cascades, and impressive single-bloom exhibition standards. These horticultural masterpieces demonstrate the remarkable skill and dedication of the Niagara Parks growing team.
Guests are invited to celebrate 80 years of floral excellence and discover the timeless beauty of one of Niagara Parks’ most iconic exhibitions.
Admission to the Floral Showhouse is $8 per adult and $5 per child. Children two and under are free.
Autumn Bloomers
Chrysanthemums are autumn bloomers that set their flower buds only after daylight is below eight hours a day, sometimes less. To start blooming, chrysanthemums need undisturbed darkness during the night–not even a flashlight can be set on them! True perennials in their natural environments, they enjoy full sun locations all summer long for good growth.
Originating in ancient Asia, these enchanting blossoms have an illustrious past that dates back over 2,500 years. Today, chrysanthemums are a cherished part of gardens, floral arrangements and even cuisine around the world.
Always in Bloom
The Niagara Parks Floral Showhouse is a lush oasis, just a short walk south from Niagara Falls and Table Rock Centre. Collections of orchids, succulents and other tropical plant species are on display throughout the year, along with floral shows that reflect the changing seasons. With seven shows per year, something new is always in bloom.
