From the fully revitalized Table Rock Centre and a reimagined Toronto Power Station to Niagara Falls’ first five-star boutique hotel, every project is designed to elevate guest experiences, encourage longer stays and provide a significant economic impact all while contributing to our dual mandate of stewardship and tourism.

Niagara Parks Power Station & Tunnel
In 2021, the historic Niagara Parks Power Station opened as a dynamic new attraction, serving as a catalyst for growth following the COVID-19 pandemic. Every corner of the hydroelectric marvel was carefully restored to showcase its original generators and architecture, while adding modern amenities like shopping, dining, and immersive exhibits. The living museum now invites guests to learn how water powered an era of innovation and explore a century-old tunnel that leads to a stunning, riverside view of the Horseshoe Falls.

Toronto Power Generating Station
Perched on the edge of the Niagara River above Niagara Falls, the historic Toronto Power Generating Station is about to become Niagara Falls’ first, five-star boutique hotel. Through a transformative private sector investment and new partnership between Niagara Parks and Toronto Power Hotel Inc., the redevelopment will feature a variety of indoor and outdoor public viewing areas, a world-class spa, exceptional dining experiences, a craft brewery, vibrant event spaces and more.
Niagara River Line
Following a call for proposals launched in 2023, Niagara Parks has signed a Letter of Intent with Society Developments, as part of a joint venture with Marks Barfield Architects, to develop a new, world-class, year-round attraction and guest experience in Queen Victoria Park.
The proposed system is an eco-friendly, electric and fully accessible elevated tram system that will provide seamless access to top attractions. Part transit system, part attraction, the Niagara River Line will feature five key stations across a 7.6 – kilometre route with panoramic glass passenger capsules that will offer never-before-seen views of Niagara Falls and the surrounding landscape.

Looking Ahead
Opportunities for Future Icons
Ontario Power Generating Station
Niagara Parks is seeking private sector interest in our third decommissioned hydroelectric station, located within the lower gorge offering unparalleled views of the American and Canadian Horseshoe Falls. This spectacular location brings enormous potential, along with challenges including public access, which proponents will need to address in their proposals. Primary goals include long-term preservation, introduction of a brand-new visitor experience, revenue generation and sustainable tourism practices.
Niagara Parks Marina
This vital shoreline redevelopment opportunity aims to establish a new waterfront recreational destination along the south Niagara Parkway in Fort Erie. As the only marina on the Canadian side of the upper Niagara River, it will create opportunities for boating, new trails, and recreational experiences. Niagara Parks is actively pursuing a private sector partner to help bring this vision to life, which will include developing the adjacent vacant surplus property into a rural recreation development complimentary to the marina.
Observation Wheel
As part of the province’s Destination Niagara Strategy, Niagara Parks is exploring the addition of an observation wheel in Queen Victoria Park, offering sky-high views of Niagara Falls. This opportunity to propose a world-class attraction will provide an entirely new way of experiencing the beauty of Niagara for millions of visitors to enjoy. Request for Proposals process has been issued to explore potential interest in developing this new experience.
