Throughout the month, you can explore a dynamic lineup of Black History Month events featuring inspiring guest speakers, intimate live music, and flavour‑rich culinary experiences that highlight Black culture.
Jazz Night with Velvet Frequencies
February 20 | Table Rock House Restaurant
Table Rock House Restaurant will transform into a live jazz club for one magical winter night! This intimate event pairs soulful sounds with an elevated menu that was thoughtfully crafted by our team of talented chefs. Come celebrate the timeless pulse of Black music across the decades and discover some bold new beats with friends old and new.

Lezlie Harper: A History to Be Proud Of
February 21 | 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Old Fort Erie
Join us for an intimate speaking engagement with Lezlie Harper, a Fort Erie resident and owner of Niagara Bound Tours. Lezlie will share insights into several key locations in Fort Erie and their significance to the fabric of Canada’s Black history.

Rochelle Bush: Freedom Trail
February 28 | 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. | McFarland House
Join us for an inspiring discussion with Rochelle Bush, Trustee and resident historian of the Salem Chapel, BME Church Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad National Historic Site, and owner of Tubman Tours Canada. Rochelle will explore the Underground Railroad era and the early Black presence along the Niagara River on both sides of the border.
