Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON – Niagara Parks is proud to welcome visitors to rediscover cherished holiday traditions and experience what life was genuinely like in the 19th century at one of Niagara’s most beloved heritage sites. This December, guests can immerse themselves in the magic of the season with unique experiences including seasonal tours, Yuletide Afternoon Tea, heritage crafts and more that celebrate the joy of giving and the warmth of the holidays.

Self-Guided Holiday House Tours

McFarland House is a highlight of the annual Niagara-on-the-Lake Rotary Holiday House Tour. While the full holiday home tour is sold-out, McFarland House will be open throughout the weekend for tours. Step back in time with ‘Traditional Christmas Stories,’ featuring self-guided tours of this Georgian-era manor adorned with elegant decorations created by the Garden Club of Niagara using authentic natural materials. McFarland House will be open for tours from Friday, December 6 to Sunday, December 8, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Admission is priced at $7.75 for adults and $5 for children aged three to 12. Yuletide Afternoon Tea

Gather your loved ones and delight in a curated selection of seasonal teas and delectable treats, including scones, finger sandwiches and desserts, all served in a beautifully decorated venue adorned with natural fresh greenery. Afternoon tea will be offered from Wednesday, December 11 to Friday, December 13 with seatings at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tickets are $39.95 per person, $29.95 for children ages three to 12, and children under two are free when accompanied by a paying adult.  Book an afternoon tea table today! Heritage Christmas Open House

Celebrate the season with a glimpse into holiday traditions of the past during McFarland House’s Heritage Christmas event on Saturday, December 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy hands-on heritage crafts, historical house tours, and the nostalgic charm of this special event. Light refreshments will be available for purchase. Regular admission applies. Tickets are available at niagaraparks.com/heritagechristmas.
