Pet-Friendly Travel

German Shepherd in the grass

The beautifully preserved botanical gardens, walkways, parks, paths, hiking trails and scenery of Niagara Parks offer an enjoyable outing for pet-owners and their pet(s). We encourage visitors to bring their pets and experience Niagara Parks to the fullest but do ask that animals are kept on a leash and in the owner's control at all times.

While enjoying all that Niagara Parks has to offer we kindly ask that pet-owners keep their cats, dogs or other animals from entering designated public swimming areas, buildings and attractions. Service animals are permitted anywhere throughout the parklands.

While at Niagara Parks, visitors are respectfully asked to "Take Only Photographs, Leave Only Footprints" - therefore pet owners are asked to "stoop & scoop" to clean up after their pets. Niagara Parks has many preserved historic areas and sensitive environments containing bird and wildlife nesting grounds and protected plant species and would like to keep them protected for all to enjoy.
