Canada Strong Pass
Until September 2, 2025, children 17 and under will receive free admission and youth aged 18 to 24 will receive half-off admission at Niagara Parks’ heritage sites, including Old Fort Erie, Laura Secord Homestead, the Mackenzie Printery and McFarland House as part of the Federal government’s Canada Strong Pass Initiative. Niagara Parks is proud to participate in this initiative designed to encourage Canadians to explore the beauty of their own backyard, while saving money and supporting local tourism.
Simcoe Days at Mackenzie Printery
Celebrate Simcoe Day on Monday, August 4, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Mackenzie Printery and honour the life and legacy of John Graves Simcoe, the first Lieutenant Governor of Upper Canada. Enjoy activities highlighting his contributions to the region’s history, including the establishment of ‘Emancipation Day’ in the African Canadian community. Admission to Mackenzie Printery covers all activities.

Civic Holiday Fireworks
Celebrate the Civic Holiday long weekend with fireworks displays each night at 10 p.m.! Table Rock Centre, Queen Victoria Place and Grand View Marketplace will be the prime viewing spots for anyone wishing to witness the dazzling display in the sky. New this summer, plan your visit to the Power Station at Night for a chance to view the fireworks from an unforgettable vantage point – the Tunnel’s lower observation deck next to the Horseshoe Falls. Holiday Road Closures
To support a safe and enjoyable Civic long weekend experience, temporary road closures will be in effect. On Saturday, August 2, and Sunday August 3, the Niagara Parkway will be closed to vehicles from Clifton Hill to Fraser Hill, starting at 7 p.m., with a full closure in place by 8 p.m. Additionally, Clifton Hill, between Victoria Avenue and Falls Avenue, will close starting at 7 p.m., with a complete closure by 8 p.m. The roads will be reopened to traffic by 1 a.m. or as crowds disperse following the fireworks. These measures will enhance pedestrian safety and reduce congestion in the vicinity of the Falls.
