Niagara Parks to Invest $1.3 Million in North Niagara Parkway Infrastructure Improvements

  • Over $1.3 million budgeted for key infrastructure projects along the North Niagara Parkway
  • Investments will include over $300,000 of improvements to parking lots and walkways at Queenston Heights Park
  • Initial preparatory construction work at the Queenston Boat Launch will begin April 21

Niagara Falls, ON – Niagara Parks will be investing over $1.3 million over the next year to complete significant infrastructure projects at a number of sites along the North Niagara Parkway. Planned investments include extensive improvements to the parking lots and pedestrian paths at Queenston Heights Park, as well as the repaving of the access road at the Queenston Boat Launch, which will see preparatory construction work begin April 21.

  • Queenston Heights Park – Parking Lots (Section 1 & 2)
  • Queenston Heights Park – Washroom Walkways Resurfacing
  • Queenston Boat Launch Road Paving
  • McFarland House Archaeology Study and Walkway Replacement
  • Queenston Hill and Lookout Parkette – Milling and Paving
  • Queenston Hill Guardrail Replacement
  • Replacement of Line 3 Pedestrian Bridge on Niagara River Recreation Trail
  • Queenston Hill Recreation Trail Resurfacing
