Niagara Falls, ON – Niagara Parks is proud to collaborate with the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games, set to formally conclude with the final Parade of Teams in a spectacular Closing Ceremony overlooking Niagara Falls, on Sunday, August 21 from 7 – 10 p.m. in Queen Victoria Park.
All are invited to celebrate our Nation’s young athletes with free live entertainment overlooking the iconic views of Niagara Falls. The special evening will feature a variety of Indigenous performances, and music by Toronto’s POESY and The Tragically Hip’s guitarist, Paul Langlois, in support of the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund to take action to improve the lives of First Peoples in Canada.
The family-friendly event will close with a special evening illumination of Niagara Falls and fireworks grand finale at 10 p.m. The presence of police, security and first responders will be on-site to ensure everyone’s safety throughout the night. Road Closures
Scheduled road closures to support the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games Closing Ceremony will be in effect on Sunday, August 21, from 5 p.m. – 11 p.m. as follows:
Falls Avenue – Southbound access to Grand View Bus Management at Falls Avenue will be closed. Tour Operators and WEGO will be granted access to the northbound lanes of Grand View Bus Management by entering southbound on the Niagara Parkway at Clifton Hill.
Niagara Parkway/River Road – The Niagara Parkway from Clifton Hill to Murray Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic.
Helpful Tips for Visitors
Convenient Event Parking – Special event parking is available at Falls Parking, Lot A, (across from Table Rock Welcome Centre), with an accessible pedestrian pathway to the event at the corner of Murray Hill and Niagara Parkway. Ample parking is also available at Rapidsview Parking (7651 Niagara Parkway), which includes a free WEGO shuttle to Table Rock Center.
Falls Incline Railway – The Falls Incline Railway is a fully-accessible option for those traveling from the upper Fallsview tourism district, linking visitors to the pedestrian pathway in Queen Victoria Park.
WEGO Bus Transportation – Live in Niagara Falls? Leave your car at home and let us do the driving! For routes and schedules, please visit wegoniagarafalls.com/routes.
Designate a Meeting Spot – Niagara Parks recommends that friends and families attending the celebration take a moment at the beginning of the evening to assign a designated time and location as a meeting place, should individuals become separated following the show’s conclusion. Please ensure everyone in your party is aware of this location, particularly children attending the event.
