Niagara Falls, ON – The Niagara Parks Foundation is pleased to announce a $105,000 donation from the Niagara Falls Rotary Club Foundation to support the construction of the Labyrinth, one of 12 interactive zones planned for the new four-acre, nature-based Children’s Garden at the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens.

The Children’s Garden is a collaborative project between Niagara Parks and the Niagara Parks Foundation, that will provide year-round opportunities for children to explore nature while supporting their physical and mental wellness. The project is currently in the detail design phase, led by MT Planners and +VG Architects, with a planned groundbreaking for construction this fall and an anticipated opening in 2028.

The donation from the Niagara Falls Rotary Club Foundation will sponsor “the Labyrinth,” a central feature of the Children’s Garden that will be a landscape of winding paths, plants and integrated art that encourages curiosity, while prompting children to ask questions about plants, water, ecosystems and the natural world.

As the next phase of growth for the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens and School of Horticulture, the Children’s Garden builds on a long-standing legacy of horticultural excellence, as the institution celebrates its 90th anniversary in 2026.

This milestone donation supports a $15 million fundraising campaign for the Children’s Garden, which will be the first of its kind and scale in Ontario, reflecting a shared commitment to nature-based play, education and environmental stewardship.
