Niagara Falls, ON – To commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States, the Niagara Falls Illumination Board will be hosting a special light show in red, white and blue from July 2 to July 6, 2026.
At 10 p.m. each evening during the commemorative period from July 2 to July 6, visitors will have the opportunity to view the Falls illuminated in a special light show featuring America’s colours. The illumination will be complemented by themed firework displays featuring red, white and blue effects each night at 10 p.m.
On July 4, the Falls will be illuminated in red, white and blue at the top of each hour for the entire evening. At 10 p.m., the customized red, white and blue light show will display on both the Canadian and American Falls, along with an extended fireworks display. The red, white and blue fireworks display will be synchronized to an American-themed music broadcast in partnership with KISS 98.5 and amplified by both Niagara Parks on the Canadian side and Niagara Falls State Park on the U.S. side.
Together, these initiatives create a distinctive visual tribute that can be enjoyed by residents and visitors on both sides of the border, in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary and reinforcing the longstanding relationship between Canada and the United States. As one of North America’s most iconic landmarks and a natural wonder shared by Canada and the United States, Niagara Falls provides a fitting backdrop to mark this historic milestone.
