Join Canada’s Watch Party with Fan Zone by the Falls
Soccer fans can mark Canada Day by cheering on their favourite teams at Fan Zone by the Falls, a free, all-day viewing event in Queen Victoria Park running through July 19. Located on the grounds of Queen Victoria Place, the Fan Zone offers large outdoor screens with matches broadcast daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., along with a licensed covered patio and a rotating lineup of themed programming, live music and family-friendly activities.
Fans can fuel up with specialty pub-style fare from the outdoor Parkway Kitchen and enjoy themed beverages from the fully licensed Cargo Cantina—making it easy to grab a bite or raise a glass without missing a moment of the action. For those looking to relax and dine, sit-down options include Canada Day features at Table Rock House Restaurant and Queen Victoria Place Restaurant, along with Whirlpool Pub + Lounge and Legends on the Niagara. Canada Strong Pass
Until September 7, 2026, children 17 and under will receive free admission and youth aged 18 to 24 will receive half-off admission at Niagara Parks’ heritage sites, including Old Fort Erie, Laura Secord Homestead, the Mackenzie Printery and McFarland House as part of the Federal government’s Canada Strong Pass Initiative. Niagara Parks is proud to participate in this initiative designed to encourage Canadians to explore the beauty of their own backyard, while saving money and supporting local tourism.

Fireworks and Illuminations, Eh!
Canada Day celebrations wrap up with an extended fireworks display at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. The show will be synchronized to a Canadian-themed music broadcast on Kiss 98.5 FM and amplified by Niagara Parks at Queen Victoria Place.
Beginning at 8:30 p.m., Niagara Falls will also be illuminated in red and white at the top of every hour for 15 minutes in celebration of Canada Day. For more information, visit niagaraparks.com/fireworks.
Holiday Road Closures
To support a safe and enjoyable Canada Day experience, temporary road closures will be in effect. On Wednesday, July 1, and during the Independence Day weekend (Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4), the Niagara Parkway will be closed to vehicles from Clifton Hill to Fraser Hill, starting at 8 p.m., with a full closure in place by 9 p.m. Additionally, Clifton Hill, between Victoria Avenue and Falls Avenue, will close starting at 8 p.m., with a complete closure by 9 p.m. The roads will be reopened to traffic by 1 a.m. or as crowds disperse following the fireworks.
All closures are at the discretion of police and may be adjusted based on weather conditions or visitation levels. These measures will enhance pedestrian safety and reduce congestion in the vicinity of the Falls.
