There is something for everyone to enjoy in this holiday long weekend, from festive springtime floral displays to Niagara Parks’ iconic nature-based attractions.

The Orchid Show at Niagara Parks Floral Showhouse

Experience the breath-taking and colourful blooms of over 1,500 expertly grown Phalaenopsis orchids at Niagara Parks’ first-ever Orchid Show at the Floral Showhouse. The striking floral display filled with hues of purple, yellow, pink, and white draws inspiration from the once-in-a-lifetime total solar eclipse happening in Niagara Falls on April 8, 2024.

Admission to this spectacular show is $8 per adult and $5 per child. Children two and under are free. Admission is also included in Niagara Parks’ season passes and bundled attraction packages. The Floral Showhouse is open daily from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Take flight to a tropical oasis at the Niagara Parks Butterfly Conservatory

Spring into the season with a visit to the Niagara Parks Butterfly Conservatory. Located on the scenic Niagara Parkway, the conservatory features over 2,000 vibrantly coloured, free fluttering butterflies amidst the backdrop of a tropical garden oasis. Warm up after a long frosty winter with a stroll through winding pathways surrounded with lush greenery and the peaceful sounds of trickling waterfalls inside one of the largest glass-enclosed butterfly conservatories in North America.

Experience the Magic of Early Spring at the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens

After your visit to the Butterfly Conservatory, explore the 99 acres of manicured gardens and nature spaces at the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens to catch some of the first glimpses of springtime blooms. The Botanical Gardens are free to the public and open daily from 6 a.m. until midnight.

Explore the Niagara Parks Power Station + Tunnel

Dive into the incredible heritage of the Niagara Parks Power Station with immersive exhibits, restored artifacts and interactive experiences that bring its rich history to life. Visitors will witness how this hydropower pioneer harnessed the flow of water to generate electricity for more than a century.

Afterward, plunge 180 feet beneath the halls of Niagara Parks Power Station and travel the 2,2000-foot-long tunnel onto the observation deck to get an up-close view of the river’s edge. Included with regular admission, the tunnel experience highlights the incredible story of how it was excavated in 1901 using only lanterns, rudimentary dynamite, pick aces and shovels. Learn how it expelled the power station’s spent waters back into the Niagara River, at the base of the Falls.
