February 20, 2025

Niagara Parks

Niagara Falls, ON – To protect the safety of workers and the public while Niagara Peninsula Energy Inc. (NPEI) conducts required repairs to high voltage infrastructure, Niagara Parks will implement road closures, restricting vehicular access within Dufferin Islands on Thursday, February 20, 2025.

Beginning at 7 a.m., all vehicular access to Dufferin Islands will be closed, including perimeter parking areas. Detour signs will guide visitors and manage traffic flow. The road will be reopened by 5 p.m.

The interior walking trails and pedestrian bridges will remain open, allowing foot traffic to continue moving through the area. While the road closure is in effect, guests are asked to take caution and avoid entering the designated work zone, which will be clearly marked and blocked off to the public as NPEI carries out the necessary repairs.
