Fort Erie, ON – Niagara Parks is celebrating the anniversary of the Siege of Fort Erie with an action-packed weekend of artillery demonstrations, battle re-enactments, children’s programming and more on Saturday, August 8 from 10 a.m.to 10 p.m. and Sunday, August 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Additionally, Old Fort Erie will be offering Lantern Tours on Saturday at 9 p.m., a ticketed offering following the re-enactment of “Drummond’s Night Assault,” providing visitors a glimpse into how Old Fort Erie would have looked in the aftermath of the siege. In this special lantern-lit tour of Old Fort Erie, visitors will have the chance to witness interrogations, hear musket and cannon fire and even join in on the chaos themselves.
This thrilling weekend featuring reenactors from across North America is the perfect place for visitors to learn about the history of the Siege of Fort Erie in a one-of-a-kind demonstration with interactive programming for all ages.
Visitors can enjoy camp activities, demonstrations and battle re-enactments free of charge throughout the weekend. Admission is required to enter Old Fort Erie and tickets are $15 plus tax for adults, $13 plus tax for youth aged 18 to 24 and $9.50 plus tax for children aged 3 to 17.

Parking and Shuttle Information
Free public parking is available at the parkettes along Lakeshore Road near Beatrice Street. A free shuttle will operate throughout the day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., on August 8 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on August 9, transporting guests from the parkettes to the Old Fort Erie Welcome Centre every 15 minutes.
